ANGEL & LITTLE GIRL ON MOON

This piece was commissioned in memory of a little girl who was born asleep.  I discussed this piece with her mum and she told me that the words "to the moon and back" were on her grave.  So, I came up with this design of an angel sitting on a moon with her arms around Lucy.. in the same way as a mum sits with her children.  In the angel's hand are 5 flowers, which represent 5 babies that were also lost.  In Lucy's hand, she holds a flower representing herself.

Around the moon arre 3 butterflies, which represent Lucy's 3 sisters and 2 guiding stars, representing her parents.

I mounted this on a piece of wood with a carved heart and the words "Too Beautiful for Earth"
