FAIRY WITH SUNFLOWER

Commissioned as a gift for a grandma as a thank you for looking after her grandson when mum had to go back to work, this piece represents 2 of the most important parts of her life - her grandson and her garden.

I designed this piece to stand in a flower bed and so made a life-size sunflower completely filled with crystal beads and sitting on top, a butterfly in the birthstone colour of her grandson.

The fairy is on her tip-toes to look at the beautiful butterfly.

The fairy was about 620mm overall.
