HEDGE SCHOOL

This was commissioned by a community who were creating a small park to commemorate the pupils who had attended a school there over the years. 

They wanted a Hedge School scene in life-size.  Hedge Schools were created in Ireland in the 1800's.  They were Catholic schools in hiding, as Catholics were not allowed an education at the time.
