When someone first comes to me to commission a piece, there are usually 3 reasons they want one - firstly, as decoration for their garden.  Secondly, as a gift and thirdly, as a memory piece for someone very special.

Sometimes, they know exactly what they want.  However, usually I will come up with a design based on where the piece is going and anything that is special to the person.  For gifts, I will try to make it as personal as possible and the more information I can get about the person, the more personal it will be.

When someone comes to me for a memory piece, this is an extremely personal and emotional sculpture.  I try to find out as much as I can about what made their loved one special, what makes them remember them.

I have created a lot of pieces in memory of children or babies born asleep.  The most important part of this kind of design is the emotion - what kind of feeling does someone want from the piece.

From there, I will come up with a design that will be unique to you and give you ideas.  Then it's down to me to bring your piece to life.

And, if you would like a piece, I would love to hear from you and come up with your design.
